CLIMBING THE PODIUM for GOLD at the North and Central American Cup, held in the capital city of San Salvador, were Annie Shiraishi of East Bay Judo Institute in El Cerrito, CA, Angelica Delgado of Ki-Itsu-Sai National Training Center, Coral Springs, FL, Anna Palmer of the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, CO, Jacob Larsen of the Boulder Judo Training Center/OTC of Colorado and Anthony Turner of Ki-Itsu-Sai National Training Center, Coral Springs, FL.
TAKING SILVER were Christal Ransom and Samantha Bleier, both of the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, CO.
WINNING BRONZE were Rick Roig and Joshua Prado, both of Ki-Itsu-Sai National Training Center, and Toshiya Nishimura of the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs.
“It was a great tournament, a great experience for myself and the whole team,” said Jhonny Prado, head coach of Ki-Itsu-Sai National Training Site in Florida. Prado led the team in San Salvador. “It showed us what we had to improve on, individually and as a team for the upcoming Pan-American Championships and Games this summer.”
