K. Hiroshi “Hiro” Fujimoto, 88 years old, a pioneer of Konan Yudanshakai and a past president of the USJF, passed away peacefully in Naples Florida, early morning 4/8/2010. His family was at his side.
Fujimoto Sensei was a co-founder of the Detroit Judo Club and helped produce champions and administrators. He did much for the development of the USJF, and we enjoy the fruits of his labors.
His family has requested no flowers, but messages of condolence may be sent to the family care of his son,

It is with deep and profound sorrow that I type this note of condolence. I had the opportunity to study under this great man, Sensei Fujimoto, at the Metropolitan Judo Club, here in Dearborn, Michigan.
Very few men have dedicated their lives to the enhancement of Judo like this fine individual.

I am so sorry to find that one of the finest men who ever influenced my life has passed away. I hope that Fumico and Paul will understand our lack of knowlage of your fathers passing and accept my most earnest condolences.
Having your dad and Carduccie slap me around was one of the best experiances of my life.

Paul, I am so sorry to hear about your Father. I am Jim Carducci’s daughter. I remember your Pops very well. I’m stunned and do not know what to say!!!
