Olivia! Chu To Bu West’s Olivia Crimaldi Medals in Pan Am Championships
November 6, 2014Congratulations to Olivia Crimaldi of Konan member club (of Chu To Bu West Judo, Avon OH, Bronze medalist at the recent Infantil Pan American Championships held in Carolina, Puerto Rico at the Guillermo Angulo Coliseum last weekend.
Olivia was selected to represent Team USA in the girls 13-14 year old, under 40 kg category. The division included girls from Puerto Rico, Ecuador, Brazil, Colombia, Dominican Republic and the United States of America.
Her tournament began with a tough fought loss against the Dominican player in the first round. Ms. Crimaldi battled back through the repechage bracket defeating athletes from Puerto Rico and Brazil. These wins secured her a spot on the podium with a bronze medal finish.
Keep your eye on this young rising star – Winning this bronze medal at the Pan Am Championships and winning Gold medal at the USA Nationals this past the summer, her future looks bright.
Congratulations to Olivia, and thanks to her sensei, Paul Jordan, and her many supporters at Chu To Bu West Judo.
