Corinne Shigemoto Named Chief Operating Officer of USA Judo

Corinne Shigemoto, a respected elite judo competitor and coach, who dramatically improved the professionalism of USA Judo’s national tournaments and membership programs as the organization’s Director of Events and Membership, has been named Chief Operating Officer of the sport’s national governing body.

Shigemoto is moving to USA Judo’s national offices in Colorado Springs to fulfill the duties of this new position, created to continue improving service to members and further grow the organization’s professionalism..

“It is really exciting to have Corinne expand her responsibility with our organization and have her now based in Colorado Springs. Corinne is such a great part of USA Judo, having first trained as a top national athlete, then having served as a coach, then on the staff and now as one of our top administrators,” said Jose H. Rodriguez, Chief Executive Officer of USA Judo.
