Seven years ago, the path became clear – the dojo would have to be profitable.
Paul Jordan had been spending 20 to 25 hours a week on his club and training, on top of his work in sales for a major brewing company. “I wanted to build a successful judo club that was a profitable endeavor,” he said.
Jordan and his wife, Sue, left their jobs and turned their full focus on finding a new strategy for the sport. The new litmus test brought a number of changes, including this: a big jump in the number of students, up from about 25 to nearly 95 currently.
