Here is Sensei Wee’s report:

2012 USJF Master Coach Certification Clinic Report

I’d like to thank Konan and it’s Executive Committee for supporting my participation to this years USJF Master Coach Certification Clinic/Course, held in conjunction with the USJF National Development Conference in Irving, Texas 10/29 & 10/30.

The moderators were Hayward Nishioka & Mitchell Palacio. They were excellent. The textbook used for the course “Training For Competition Judo” is the same textbook to be used for all USJF coach certification clinics and is included in the cost of the certification. The textbook is excellent and covers coaching strategies and the science for success.

Successful completion of the course allows an individual to certify others as coaches under the USJF coach certification program.  A pre-requisite was previous coach certification or completion of the USJF coach certification course online or clinic driven. You could also attend the Beginner/Bronze certification course on 10/28/12 to satisfy the pre-requisite
At successful completion of the program, participants have the materials to conduct their own (USJF) coach certification in their area or YDK.

USJF online certification is good for two years or certification granted from a USJF coach clinic is good for four years. USA Judo reciprocity coach certification is available at half price, if you are a certified USJF coach.

Respectfully submitted,

Jerry Wee
