When: Saturday, March 10, 2012 from 12:15 pm – 4 00 PM
Requirements: No gi required. Open to current members of the USJF, USJA or USJI. In order for participants to qualify for a USJF certificate they must:
1. Be a current USJF member and present a current member card.
2. Completely fill out all paperwork
3. Have a current background check within the last four years.
4. Take the online test and pass.
5. The clinic will be for a Bronze level only.
Cost: $30/individual at door (course discount of 10% certified with Positive Coaching Alliance). Certification fees are $60.00 per person (check made out to USJF): This includes the fees for a certificate and badge.

The last mail in deadline for registration is Friday, February 24. Mail in entries must be postmarked by February 24 to receive the discounted fee. Entries should not be mailed after February 24, but rather hand carried to registration on March 9.
Early on line registration also ends on February 24. Late on line registration will be available until March 7. Remember, you must have your U.S. citizenship verified in the database prior to on line registration.
News of more Canadian participation: Rumor has it that Kidokan Judo Club of Brampton Ontario may be bringing as many as 20 junior players to this weekend’s Konan Invitational Tournament.
Tsunami Judo Club of Richmond Hill Ontario (Toronto Area) is returning to the Konan Invitational with a team of 30 novice juniro players, who are registered to play in 40 divisions.
Bring your junior novice players for some fun competition with new players.
Once again, Vickie and Brad Daniels of Konan Member Club, Judan Judo of Portland IN are hosting the Indiana State Open Championships.
Please consider travelling to this tournament – last year approximately 200 Juniors participated.

Please do your part and prepare in advance for your registration to the upcoming Konan Invitational and MI Open. This makes the checkin and pooling process more expeditious for everyone and makes sure we can keep the tournament on schedule. It will be for everyone “mutual welfare and benefit”!
Print out the required entry forms, fill them out, secure the signatures you need from senseis, parents, and guardians in advance. Check your USJF registration status and you can find a form at USJF.com, if your registration is outdated.
Bring a white and blue belt as we will not have an inventory for use. If you don’t have one, you can buy one from Kwon that will be on site at this tournament.
