ESPN3 to webcast World Championship Medal Rounds LIVE from Paris, FRANCE

August 23 – From USA-Judo – ESPN3 is streaming medal rounds of the IJF World Championships LIVE from Paris on the Internet, giving judo fans another way to catch their favorite fighters battling up the podium. Click HERE.

Start watching today, Wednesday, with USA Judo athletes Angelica Delgado, 52 kg, Natalie Lafon, 52 kg, Marti Malloy, 57 kg, Hana Carmichael, 57 kg, Michael Eldred, 73 kg, and Nick Delpopolo, 73 kg, slated for mats bright and early. Medal rounds are scheduled to begin at 3:30 p.m. Paris time, 9:30 a.m. on the East Coast.

This and the Olympics are the apex of judo and this year the Worlds have attracted more competitors than perhaps ever before, making it one of the toughest tournaments in history.

Action started today in Paris and runs through Sunday, August 28 with daily competition scheduled to start at 9 a.m. Paris time – that’s 3 a.m. on the East Coast.

Malloy, Eldred and Delpopolo are among USA Judo’s favorites for Olympic medals next year in London. They are joined by Kayla Harrison, 78kg, and Travis Stevens, 81kg, leading a full team with athletes in most divisions including up-and-coming stars from all across the country like Delgado, who also fights tomorrow.
