Konan Judo

Here is a great opportunity for qualified judoka.

Opportunity for a self funded event.  Cost of the event will be $1113  plus an Airline ticket to Hong Kong.  Cost include 8 nights in the Athlete Village and 3 meals per day, ground transportation in China and Visa cost.  Team will receive a complete set of Team USA gear.

We have open positions in the following weight Categories:

Women: 48kg, 57kg, 63kg, 70kg, 78kg, 78kg plus, Open
Men:  66kg &  Open

Eligibility:
1. USA Citizen, able to obtain US Passport
2. Born Between Jan 1st 1983 and Jan 1st 1993
3. Has taken at least 1 (3 unit) Course towards a degree or diploma with the last year prior to the games. University will need to sign off on the the “Certificate of Academy Eligibility”
4. Minimum Rank of Sho-dan

All Athletes on the USA Judo roster that meet the above criteria should email USA Judo By April 12th at 12:00pm mountain standard time.  The highest ranked individual will be selected and contacted on April 13th.  Selected Athletes will have until April 20th to make full payment of $1113 to the National Collegiate Judo Association.  Failure to make full payment by April 15th will result in forfeiture of your spot on the team.
Any coaches interested in self funded will be considered as well.
