USA Judo to Host Four Major Masters Events in the USA in 2010

by

The first of these four major competitions will be the 2010 Senior Nationals to be held in beautiful  Myrtle Beach on  May 1 and 2.  Masters (Veterans) competition will be on Saturday May 2nd.  Late Registration will take place on Friday April 30th .  Entry packets are now available at www.usjudo.org and you can save by registering early.

The second tournament for Masters (Veterans) will be the National Presidents Cup in Grand Rapids, Michigan at the DeVos Place on June 26 & 27.  The beautiful Amway Grand Hotel will serve as the headquarter hotel. Registration packets and information will be out soon, but save the date now.

There are two international events this year that will be a part of the four major Master (Veterans) events USA Judo will be offering.  The famous Doral Golf Resort & Spa  in Miami will play host to the IJF World Cup and 2010 US Open August 26-29th.  On Sunday,  August 29 USA Judo will be offering  Masters (Veterans)  divisions during the US Open. This will be a great opportunity for Masters (Veterans) competitors to come out and watch some of the World’s best Judokas compete at the World Cup, enjoy a day of golf on one of the world’s best golf course, and then compete themselves on Sunday.

And if that is not enough….

On Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 4 & 5 following the event in Miami, USA Judo will host the Pan American Masters Championships at Disney’s Wide World of Sports.  The masters (Veterans) competition will be held in conjunction with the Pan Am Junior and Visually Impaired divisions. This is Labor Day weekend.

It is USA Judo hope that by offering these two international events back to back within a few hours  driving distance of one another, our Master (Veteran) athletes in the USA will be able to plan a nice vacation time where they can also share some family experience at Doral and Disney this summer.

So, mark your calendar, and get ready for an unsurpassed 2010 Masters Competition schedule!
